Leslie C. Escalante, Co-Owner & Founder, PA-C, MPAS
Leslie Escalante is a National Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) who received her education from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant studies.
Leslie has been practicing medicine, specializing in pain management since 2004 and has been specializing in Natural Hormone replacement therapy and cosmetic aesthetic procedures since 2006.
She is a fellow member of TAPA (Texas Academy of Physician Assistants) and AAPA (American Academy of Physician’s Assistants). She has also attended numerous seminars and training courses and has multiple certifications to perform aesthetic/cosmetic procedures. This has helped her be a leader in the medical and aesthetic service field as well as helped her understand the new advancements in natural hormone replacement therapy.
Her skills include precise technique for a multitude of aesthetic/cosmetic procedures. Her wide base of medical/Natural therapies knowledge has gained the respect of patients, staff, and others in the community. Leslie is an extremely compassionate individual who strives to provide each client with beautiful radiant results along with personalized and professional service.

Lindy Wood has an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Midland College in addition to her Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management from Lubbock Christian University.
Lindy began her business career working with an Expert Witness in the oil and gas industry. After advancing through the company, Lindy became interested in Real Estate. After several successful years, she eventually moved on to partner with her sister in opening a medical spa practice in 2008. Lindy and Leslie found they complimented each other perfectly. While Leslie specialized in all clinical aspects of the newly opened med spa, Lindy exercised her proficiency as Business Manager and CFO. The two sisters continue to this day to expand and grow Balanced Health & Beauty by providing the best service at affordable rates.
Stefany Taylor, LME, Spa director
Stefany Taylor has over 23 years of experience in the skin care and salon industry. In that time, she has embraced the technological advances in both hair and skin care which allow her to remain on the true cutting edge all while serving her clients with old fashion customer service.
Stefany’s dedication to her craft led to the opening of Avant’s Day Spa. Her level of expertise also led to her assisting in the openings of two high profile resort spas. In 1997, Stefany helped establish the Bayside Spa at the Horseshoe Bay Resort only to return to Avant in 1999 to oversee the development and the expansion of the day spa. Stefany also participated in the opening of The San Saba Spa at the Lakeway Resort where she served as an esthetician, a nail technician as well as Spa Director.
While a polished skin care expert, Stefany’s progressive nature allowed her to enter the field of medical aesthetics in 2009 all while continuing as a sought after hair, nail, and skin specialist.
In 25 years, Stefany has seen it all, but one aspect of her career remains. Her focus is you, the client, and no one else.

Amy hamilton, rn, bsn
Amy Hamilton, RN, BSN has been working in the hospital and clinic setting for over 16 years. Prior to nursing, Amy used her degree in community health education in a variety of settings as a reproductive health specialist, smoking cessation facilitator, and personal trainer. She enjoys cooking, weightlifting, hiking, biking, tennis, traveling, and personal spiritual growth.
As a practicing nurse Amy is constantly learning as the science of medicine continually develops and evolves. Amy believes in a multimodal approach to health using alternative modalities and therapies which promote, maintain, and support the body. She is constantly expanding her knowledge in the use of nutrition, supplementation, stress management, and essential oils. She feels her life's purpose is to help others achieve wellness so they can live life to their highest potential with joy and peace.
Dr. James S. Gaertner, Medical Director
Dr. Scott Gaertner, originally from Yoakum, Texas, attended Texas A&M University for undergraduate and University of Texas in Houston for medical school. Residency training was completed here in Austin at Breckinridge Hospital.
After residency, Dr. Gaertner was an Emergency Physician and then relocated to Hawaii with his wife, Wendy. He started the Family Health Center which provided primary care to residents of the Big Island. He could be found during the lunch hour surfing and had the honor of completing the World Championship Kona Ironman Triathlon in 2005.
The Gaertner family returned to Austin in 2007 with the addition of their son Riley. Dr. Gaertner’s activities vary from mountain biking and trail running to winning best of show and best of species at the Kona Orchid Society.
Dr. Gaertner’s philosophy on family practice places heavy emphasis on an excellent patient relationship. Knowledge and technology are powerful tools but can only be implemented with good, old-fashioned communication.
